When engineering knowledge meet Outdor passion
Hi, I’m Alexandre!
Since I was about ten years old, I’ve been passionate about BMX trails - a sport that involves shaping dirt jumps with a shovel (put like that, it sounds a bit like hard labor...), and jumping them!
This sport has taken me all over France and to many other countries. It gave me the chance to go on countless road trips: starting out in cars, packed like sardines and sharing a tent, then becoming more independent with my own tent, and finally in a van!
This discipline, mostly practiced in the woods, has instilled in me a deep connection to nature. But as a city dweller who suffers from back pain, van travel was a true revelation. I’ve been able to go on incredible treks and hikes, waking up (after a very comfortable night's sleep) at the foot of the mountains, in the s of forests, or right by a lake for an early morning dip! The van has also allowed me to camp safely in many places where pitching a tent would have been impossible.
Alongside this, I’ve been working for over 5 years as an electronic engineer. It’s a fascinating job that allows me to learn every day and solve challenges, balancing technical innovation with tight budgets. Sounds cool when you put it that way, right?
Being a freelancer, I don't have the traditional security of a corporate contract. That’s why I decided to launch another project on the side (as they say in investing: never put all your eggs in one basket!): van rentals.
And it’s a perfect match! Designing and building a van is a technical challenge that lets me to put my engineering skills to good use. As for the rental side, it gives me the opportunity to share my love for the outdoors and connect with fellow adventure lovers.
